still on v7, not going to 8
Weve been a SplashData user since the beginning... remember SplashPhoto & SplashMoney for PalmOS... yeah, I was there before SplashID. Name a SplashData product and I had/have it!! We all used to LOVE SplashID and we made everyone we know install it, we gave it as gifts to our friends/family/customers. Until somewhere in v7 it corrupted YEARS worth of data. data from (paid versions) on multiple computers, syncing perfectly with our (paid versions) on multiple devices (yes, thatd be over the years: Palm (every version), iOs, WindowsMobile) we are IT pros. v7 was a nightmare but we made it to 7.2.5 because we couldnt revert (i got sick between 7.2.5 and 8.0 and missed 7.2.6). we still have issues w/ garbled fields but as long as we only create NEW accounts from ONE device we are ok. We still have NOT recovered all of our years worth of data, but fortunately we have excellent backups and we can just pull those up... its a pain, but they do not merge into v7 cleanly, its a manual process; once they are re-input manually, they seem to be fine, and sync cleaning across multiple devices. NO WAY are we upgrading to v8 and we will not be upgrading our computer software either. I keep installing v8 on one device (because I dont want to do the manual process), hoping itll import cleanly and impove and Im still disappointed. We have no problem paying for the software you develop, thats what you do and we have a long history with you. but we DO NOT want our info on YOUR cloud. Weve had our own "cloud" if you will, since before you created SplashID. We are a CLOUD PROVIDER. our stuff is SECURE. Clearly, after reading these comments from other long time users, you have issues w/ yours. we do NOT want nor need you to store our passwords and private data. Many users do require this feature, but you cannot FORCE this "feature" on everyone. You went from the BEST PASSWORD SAFE EVER... to glitchy untested ransom ware. We are being forced to look elsewhere for password & personal data management. ...Crying real tears....
