SplashID Safe Password Manager App Reviews

I have used for many years and unfortunately the initial install and synch processes have never gotten easier...nor has support.

I had a "lifetime" wifi subscription purchased in 2013. Download new version of app and now my subscription is back to a "trial" membership. Splash says they made significant upgrades that require a new subscription fee be paid. Dont download or youll be duped like me. Im switching to Dashlane.

I have been using SplashID for the past five years, quite happily. Suddenly, they decide to switch to a subscription model, and one evening with no warning I find myself locked out of all of my devices! I couldnt even view them on my Mac! Things were dire that evening, and I simply had to get into a system for work, so I went ahead and tried to subscribe so I could at least get to my critical passwords. But that didnt work either! SplashID put me in a terrible situation and made things very, very difficult for me. For no reason. I cannot trust an application that will spontaneously lock me out with no warning. So I no longer recommend SplashID, and now I encourage others to find different, trustable password applications. For those of you still using the application, be warned that your access could get locked out. Make regular backups in case that happens.

Im going from a 1 to a 2. After some issues and a bad crash, the current version (8.1.1) seems to be more stable, however it still occasionally fails on WiFi syncing with my PC and fails to start up on Apple devices occasionally. It is too bad that a really great reliable password app was degraded by loading it up with features that I find completely useless, like cloud based syncing. Honestly, why on earth would I trust some unknown server farm with my passwords, even if they are encrypted? All I ask is a simple ability sync between my mobile devices and my desktop ideally using a cable on earlier versions, which unlike the WiFi, always worked.

I bought the iCloud sync version and the lifetime upgrades, and Ive used it pretty successfully for several years. But the latest two upgrades have been beyond dreadful. It wont let me have my pc as the preferred database, it doesnt sync correctly, and certainly not automatically, add its advertised and the support team members are rude. I cant recommend this anymore. The cloud version is awful and Im afraid to sync again because the last time was so awful.

Ive never had an issue that wasnt fixed and quickly. Ive been using the app since, I think, the beginning. Love how it keeps my passwords and other info secure!

I agree with Beltway Lady. Been using it for at least five years and no issues. Dont know what the disappearing records issues are about; I have NEVER had this problem. If there is a better method for keeping track of PWs and usernames, etc., I dont know it. Good interface and easy.

After using their product / service for over eight years I decided to cancel my online subscription and switch to another provided. I was told that canceling the sync service would not result in the loss of my data and it would still be accessible locally. After the cancelation customer service responses were less friendly and in order for me to receive the data I had to pay the equivalent of another years subscription for what I was previously led to believe would be available based on past purchases. Cant trust this company.

SplashID now has delayed response when logging in & when clicking on the spotlight search icon - under IOS 9.3.5. iPhone 6. Please fix

I have never had a problem and has saved in so many occasions, I am really grateful. Completely recommended as safe, handy and life saver!

I have used this for very long, first on the Palm OS platform, then iPhone for a couple of years. It is a little cumbersome but does the job very well. Synching with desktop can be error prone sometimes but does work.

Very useful app to store all of your private information. It syncs well with desktop and iPad. I lost the app when transferring to a new iPhone 7 but tech support was able to resolve the problem and get me going again. I would recommend.

Used for a few years and does everything I need.

Not full featured but works. Constant pestering to upgrade, but no compelling new features. iOS upgrades frequently cause issues. Have them right now, in fact. Generally takes 3 attempts to open splashID since latest iOS update. First attempt, login screen but no keypad or Touch ID prompt. Close and reopen and you get full login screen (but still no Touch ID prompt). Sign in and the list has a crazy nonesensical sort. Close and reopen and all is well. This happens every time the app has been idle for a spell.

I forgot my password and followed instructions to reset my password. Instead of resetting my password, I was informed that they "are working on responding to you as soon as possible" How long do I have to wait for my password to be reset???

I have used this app for years and love it. I love how it sync to cloud. I also love how when you change phones all you need to do is download the app and your passwords are there.

Thought I would write a review of my latest experience , but my post from last year is exactly the same. Please read before making the same mistake: ----------------------- So tonight I discovered I have lost MANY addresses and entries during this so-called "upgrade" ANYONE THAT BUYS THIS GETS WHAT THEY DESERVE ----------------------------------- So now that Im forced to upgrade, I have sent myself SEVERAL emails trying to get this app fully activated and out of read only mode... No email Whats the problem, is this part of a beginning coding class? Update: there are an amazing number of negative reviews now missing. Why is that? So I just downloaded the latest patch and it still fails to operate properly. Why is it this crap is released being this broken?

It keeps me from having to carry around abig book. Ilove it.

After updating the app, Im being forced to pay to be able to access my information. STOP HOLDING MY DATA HOSTAGE!!

Get this. Now also has Offline mode, which can be used to disable server communication.
