SplashID came to me highly recommend by a friend and the system looked great when they showed me the ease of access between platforms. However.... I have had a declining relationship with the software. Upon initial use I noticed some lag when updating/adding records between multiple devices. (Some records didnt seem to show up even after syncing, or some records would only show up with partial information) I initially shrugged this off as being slow to update and having too high an expectation. Over the last few months I have entered many additional records (~100) into the system and while I know the company made large improvements recently regarding record synchronization (and things did seem better...) However I again encountered the issue and upon trying to get the records properly synced I am now faced with growing data corruption. Initially all Categories became garbled txt and appeared different on all interfaces (iPhone, Desktop, Web), however if I update any of the records I am now seeing records with completely garbled text. I realize I may push the "limits" of the system by using "non letter characters" in record names or categories (like: - / : ( ) +) and I also rapidly enter/edit data on a single record from both my desktop and iPhone. (Yes I save it and sync before editing it on the other system) That being said, the core functionality of this software is to store and SECURE extremely sensitive and valuable information not available elsewhere. It is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE for that same software to DESTROY the data it is supposed to safeguard. While it appears most people have not had trouble, the volume of users that have seen data loss/corruption far exceeds what I believe is appropriate given the companies core purpose. Im an IT Professional so Id like to think Im not just destroying my data because I dont know what Im doing or attempting some unreasonable demand on the software. Also to those who might comment, I do make regular backups of my data and when attempting to restore those I am still faced with data corruption where it previously did not "appear" to exist. Loosing the data which stores my "ability" to access other vital websites/systems is simply UNACCEPTABLE. Rant over.
