DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!

I have been using SplashID as my primary password dataset for the past 5 years. In the past month there have been significant issues with the App and the online application. The app is spontaneously and randomly deleting records. In the past 3 days, Ive identified at least 3 records, one each day, that are mysteriously gone. When I go to restore from the cloud backup, the app just crashes. When I try to restore online, nothing changes. I paid for a lifetime subscription and am not able to rely on the app to save the data. Ive submitted multiple requests for support with only one response essentially telling me to delete the app and reinstall it. Nothing changes afterwards. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! DO NOT RELY ON THIS APP OR COMPANY!!!!

Great!

This app is super helpful to keep track of many passwords in this day and age.

I have used this app for many years on multiple devices and platforms and ABSOLUTELY love it. Not loving the annual fee but its well worth the $9.99 to have all my passwords safely tucked away. Customer service over the years has been exemplary when contacted so I have nothing but good things to say, hence the 5 stars.

Has become unstable

I have successfully used this app for years, but am very unhappy with the latest version of the Mac (host) software. It crashes frequently when updating records. If this ever gets fixed I would consider rating it 5 again

Splash Id

In general, very good...was having challenges with previous versions to be upgraded to the latest version. This appears to be resolved. One issue is that when I download my latest splash Id database, it appears to only recognize my Dropbox drive but not my google or iCloud drives. I would like to automatically save to my google drive.

Touch ID doesnt

Program itself works great but Touch ID on my iPhone 6S does not work. Yes, I have it set up and Enabled, but I have to enter the password manually. I hope a Real Person reads these reviews for bug fixes!

Not Safe

After the most recent update, all of my information was deleted. I have used it for over 5 years, and all of it is permanently gone. The customer service is email only. They claimed it was wiped out due to 10 login attempts, which is impossible because my iPhone has a password and finger print lock. Customer service was apathetic. Ive deleted the app, and am using another option. I would have gladly paid for a cloud back up, upgrade if I were appropriately notified. I would not trust this app and their handling of the Lost information was insulting.

Why doesnt this support slide over so you can see password or information while another page or programs is open that you need to put password or information into.

Avoid this software

I have used SplashID for several years. I initially purchased an app for my iPhone. Subsequently I purchased the PC version so I could centralize and sync my data. It seemed like a good product and had received decent reviews. The software had some quirks, but they were minor annoyances. My perception of the apps quality and usefulness has changed. I have had two major issues resulting in the loss of all of my data. The first issue occurred a few years ago immediately after software update. A few days after I had contacted tech support, there was another update. SplashID never acknowledged there was an issue. Coincidence? Maybe. I stopped using the sync feature after this experience. The second data loss occurred last week; at least that is when I noticed that my data was gone. Again there appears to have been a recent update. When I looked in the App Store, I noticed other complaint(s) about lost data. I exchanged two emails with tech support. I found their response inadequate and offensive. The gist of what they said was it could not possibly be their software and that I was stupid to think that my data could be recovered. Did I really do something wrong? Maybe, but I think it is unlikely. I have worked in the software industry for over 30 years and have learned a thing or two along the way. At the very least their tech support should have tried to understand what happened. There may be a bug. There may be a usability issue. I was annoyed enough to look the company up in the better business bureau data base. I t tried calling the number listed in the BBB directory. The call went immediately to voicemail. I left a message, but never got a response. I did say I would file a BBB complaint if I didnt get a response. I guess they dont care. I will not risk losing my data a third time. I am curious about what standards Apple sets for software offered in their App Store and wonder if SplashID even belongs there. My advice to anyone looking for a place to store data is to avoid this app.

Good wifi option

I would make sure that you do wifi sinc as opposed to cloud, which sort of defeats the point. $20/yr but worth it and cheaper than other similar programs

Does not work

Dont waste your time with this app, its useless unless you pay a yearly fee, and then its just marginally decent. Find a better password app

Like the app, but wont auto renew through iTunes

This is the second year in a row SplashID says my subscription ran out...the app is basically locked until I email them to sort out my account. iTunes is showing the renewal completed, but I guess SplashIDs records dont reflect this. One year of this happening is understandable, but the same issue 12 months later? Not good...

Dont do it

Been using this product for years but had an account problem recently that they cannot fix. I paid 19.99 and cannot use the app. Since there is no way to export to excel like there used to be, I have to manually copy each record or password into another safe keeping app. And they wont refund my money either. Splash, I dont know what happened but get it together.

Dont buy!

I have been using their product for year to sync my iPhone with my desktop. I have paid well over $100 for new versions and upgrades. Now they are forcing me to pay $19.99 a year and have prevented my iPhone from displaying my passwords with out giving any notice. There are better products on the market like lastpass, but Ive just been to lazy to switch. Well, they forced my hand and Ill never give the jerks another nickle! They should be ashamed of themselves! Keep searching for someone who wont leave you stuck with a non-functioning app!

Customer Service is non-responsive

I have used this program for many years and have been very happy with it, especially the muti platform functionality. I renewed my subscription 3 days ago through iTunes. Now the program no longer functions on my iPhone, my windows 10 computer. I have contacted customer service mutiple times but have received no response. I am going to look for alternatives and demand a refund. But you cant get any response from these guys. No telephone number. Based on other reviews here it appears the issue may have to do with iTunes. There unresponsive customer service is completely unacceptable.

Do Not Download

Biggest Mistake Ever!! I have used this app for about 5years now and this morning I went to access my passwords and it says I cannot until I upgrade. Attempted to access online and nothing!! So bit the bullet and paid the $20. Still not able to access them!! This company is junk! Say away from them!!

I have been using this for years and they love to make billing "mistakes" and hold you data hostage until you pay. Im done.

Held Hostage

Ive used this app for 5+ years - felt it was secure and reliable. I was not interested in cloud storage - Ill keep my info safe on my own. Now Im unable to edit or add new records as Im being held hostage to a $19.99 annual subscription fee. I purchased this app for my non-Apple phone (back in the day), my iPhone and my Mac....the annual subscription was not part of the deal then and I feel its wrong to impose it on current customers. Will be transferring my data to a new provider. Shame shame shame

Used to work, now losing data

dont use. I audited my records between my PC, my iphone and ipad. All had a different record count and some of my data is gone. I am backing up what is left and looking for another solution. No second chance for this company.
